We are determined to reduce food waste in the UK while ensuring that surplus food goes to the people across our
local communities who need it the most.

Join us in supporting families across Blackpool and the Fylde.

Households with children experiences food insecurity. Food poverty is closer than you think.

9.5

Million tonnes of food are wasted annually across households, hospitality, and food service sectors.

21%

Of households in the North West reported food insecurity.

With the cost-of-living crisis, more and more families in our

communities are finding it increasingly hard to make ends meet. The BIG FOOD Truck enables individuals and families to access food at a fraction of supermarket prices.

We are working closely with our suppliers to encourage and help them to donate their surplus food safely and effectively, which we then redistribute to our network of members via our food hubs and partners. Members can choose how much food they need based on the needs of their household. (e.g. one individual bag, a small family bag or a large family bag.)

Are you a local supermarket, food manufacturer or wholesaler?
If so, we want to work with you! The annual food waste within UK in 2018 was estimated at around 9.5 million tonnes! With the work of The BIG FOOD Pledge, we’re looking to capture a small fracture of that to help feed those most in need.
